This service supports organizations in assessing how grievances are received, recorded, investigated, resolved, and communicated in practice. The assessment reviews whether the grievance mechanism is aligned with the UNGP effectiveness criteria (e.g., legitimacy, accessibility, predictability, equitability, transparency, rights-compatibility, and dialogue-based engagement), and whether it supports workplace rights consistent with the UDHR, relevant ILO conventions and principles, and local legal requirements.
The assessment process typically includes review of grievance policies and procedures, evaluation of reporting channels, analysis of grievance records and case handling practices, interviews with management and grievance handlers, and confidential worker interviews to assess awareness and trust in the system. Findings are analyzed to identify system gaps, implementation weaknesses, and improvement actions to strengthen prevention, timely resolution, and remedy.
This service is diagnostic and advisory in nature and does not represent certification or legal opinion unless separately agreed.
