FairCapacity Program

Sustainable Management System Inc. proudly supported the FairCapacity Program in Bangladesh, a completed initiative led by Social Accountability International (SAI) to improve labor compliance, production planning transparency, buyer-supplier relationships, and working conditions in the ready-made garment supply chain.

About the FairCapacity Program

FairCapacity was developed to help suppliers improve production capacity planning, strengthen labor and business practices, and connect with brands committed to improving purchasing practices. In Bangladesh, the program focused on the apparel supply chain and addressed risks linked to inaccurate production capacity calculation, over-ordering, unauthorized subcontracting, excessive overtime, and forced labor risk.

During the project, FairCapacity delivered tools, trainings, events, assessments, and capacity-building activities to support practical improvement in Bangladesh’s RMG sector.

Tools, Training and Capacity Building

The FairCapacity team developed a Production Capacity Calculator, an online platform, buyer and supplier tools, and delivered multiple trainings and events. The program also provided management system assessments, improvement plans, one-on-one support, and customized tools to strengthen social performance.

SMS Contribution to FairCapacity
