From July 2 to July 6, 2024, a comprehensive five-day (40-hour) ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Auditor/Lead Auditor training course took place at Wisdom Campus in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The course was available both in-person and virtually, catering to a wider range of participants.
The EMS framework is designed to help organizations achieve their environmental goals through ongoing review, evaluation, and improvement of their environmental performance. This continuous process aims to identify opportunities for enhancement and implement strategies for better environmental management.
Sustainable Management System Inc., a US-based company specializing in audits, inspections, and training, organized the session. The training was led by Mr. Abdul Alim, the President and CEO of Sustainable Management System Inc., who is an internationally recognized expert in management systems.
A total of 23 participants attended the course, where Mr. Alim covered the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 EMS standard, the benefits of implementing EMS in an organization, various implementation strategies, and how auditors can objectively verify the effectiveness of these standards. The course included PowerPoint presentations, exercises, fun activities, open discussions, and Q&A sessions. The training concluded with an evaluation exam.
