Mr. Mahbub Alam is one of the most experienced & competent Environment, Chemical & Wastewater Management system practitioners, as well as SAC, Approved Higg FEM 3.0 (SAC241), trainer & Verifier, in Bangladesh. He is also one of the very few assessors in Bangladesh for Cradle to Cradle (C2C) certifications.

Currently he is working for Sustainable Management System Bangladesh as Lead Trainer & Auditor. Also  he is acting as a Vice President of Bangladesh Institute of EHS Professionals (BIEP). During his 10 years’ career in Environment, Chemical & Waste Management System arena, he worked in 100% export-oriented garments manufacturers. He closely works with GIZ, DOE, BGMEA, EHS Plus center, IUBAT ETP Training Center & PRI. He worked as an Asst. General Manager – Environmental Sustainability, ETP & CSR in a reputed group of company.

Mr. Alam completed his B.Sc (Hon's) & M.Sc in Chemistry from Jagannath University. During his working tenure, he has developed a wide range of skills in the field of ETP operation & process control, Chemical, Environment and Occupational Health & Safety management system in different garments industry. Having working experience & sound knowledge on IEE, EMP, TOR, EIA, REMC(Resource Efficient Management of Chemicals), CP (Cleaner Production), PaCT(Partnership for Cleaner Production) program, 3R (Reduce, Re-use & Recycling) Strategy, 3-TG(tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold) Conflict Minerals Program, CPI2 ( Carbon performance improvement initiative), ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals), BCMP (Best Chemical Management Practices), SCM(Sustainable Chemical Management), Higg FEM 3.0, EIMS(Environmental Impact Measuring Software), LID (Low Impact Denim), TREES (Toward Resource Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability), STWI (Sweden Textile Water Initiative), PURE project, STeP Certification  & Clean Chain for C&A as a pilot project.

He has been successfully completed the Lead Auditor certification course on ISO- 14001:2015, BS OHSAS-18001:2007.
