We need to draft different type of documentation every day in our corporate life. Company Policy and Procedures based on different code or standard requirements is a very common document to be available as management commitment and guideline for different operation and activities. But unexpectedly, we have rarely any institutional education on real-time industrial and business operations. Due to the lack of related institutional education, we are depending on the master document made by somebody from somewhere in the world. We are copying and pasting some words and using those documents as our own documents where most of the personnel from the management is not aware of the contents of the documents.
As a result, our documentation is showing very strong on paper but the management system and management practice is not in line with the documents. Ultimately, we are not getting any benefits from those documents other than showing to the inspectors or auditors when asked. We are here to talk about the tools and techniques to establish documents like policy and procedures.
All of your valuable brands want their suppliers with a strong management system and practice. None of the owner wants to see his company with a poor management system but we rarely invest to learn management system rather copy others. We want to share our experience on how we can establish our documents and practice the same. The documents are not for the audit but for operating the organization.
